Same Shape, Different Sizes & Colors!
The PANA tapered drill bit includes are made with two different materials: tungsten carbide and ceramic coated drill bit. The tapered edge of the drill bit includes a finer grit at the tip of the bit to avoid any damages on the cuticle and surrounding nail wall and a coarser grit towards the base of the bit for general surface work such as backfilling, filing, smoothing, and shaping. The tungsten carbide drill bits comes in the three standard PANA colors: gold, DLC black, and silver, and all ceramic-coated drill bits come in ceramic white. All four drill bits fits 3/32″ shank and have 5 different grit sizes available (ranging from extra fine to extra coarse). This drill bit is suitable for nail techs who are working on artificial nails, the drill bit has many uses: from shaping, carving, smoothing, backfilling, and removing gel.
Ceramic Coated Drill Bits
PANA Ceramic coated bits are long lasting with flute-like cuts to indicate the level of grit of each bit. The ceramic bits are also reusable as they can be easily cleaned and sterilized. Ceramic bits are intended to reduce heat, as they don’t heat up as much as the other bits. Each grit size are determined by color coded rings.

Grit sizes are a little more difficult to tell the difference when it comes to the ceramic drill bits, however there are color coded rings to help identify the grit sizes:
Yellow – Extra FineRed – FineBlue – MediumGreen – Coarse
Tungsten Carbide Drill Bits
PANA carbide drill bits are made with tungsten carbide. Tungsten carbide is about 10 times harder than 18K Gold, 5 times harder than tool steel, and 4 times harder than titanium, making it one of the most durable materials in the market. A tungsten carbide drill bit will last much longer and unlike other metals, it will not rust, dull or break after a couple uses. PANA Carbide Drill Bits has three different color variations such as silver, gold and the diamond-like carbon coating that lasts three times longer, DLC black.
